Applying for NWP's Grant:


All applicants are required to use the provided NWP Letter of Inquiry (LOI) application format. You can download it here, fill it out and return it to outreach@nvwomensphilanthropy.org.

The due date for your LOI is Thursday, November 19th, 2009, no later than 4:30pm. Be sure to put this date on your calendar now; late applications will not be accepted.

NWP's Outreach Committee will review the LOIs and will inform agencies by Friday, January 8th, 2010 whether their LOIs will be entered into the NWP's official Grant Screening Process.

Grant Making Process


The NWP conducts its grant making efforts through the Grant Screening Committee. The NWP considers applicants in the areas of arts, education, environment, health and social services. These organizations may not be limited to women's causes, but are organizations that:

  • Address an urgent and vital need;
  • Demonstrate unique solutions to time-worn problems;
  • Engage in bold new ventures and encourage collaboration.


    • Grants may be requested for capital funds and program funds. NWP will not consider applications for programs that:

  • Are not ready to be implemented;
  • Retire outstanding debt;
  • Are not sustainable.

    • Preliminary applications (LOIs) are due late November of the prior grant year; grant decisions are made in November.
